Doha: The Kingdom of Bahrain voiced Sunday its strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of a commercial cargo ship by a drone while it was sailing in Qatar’s territorial waters, coming from Abu Dhabi, considering this a flagrant violation of the principles of international law, and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and safety of maritime navigation, and undermines regional and international security and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with the State of Qatar and its complete support for the measures it may take to preserve its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its territorial waters. The Ministry renewed the call to strengthen regional and international cooperation and coordination to protect the security and safety of maritime trade routes and vital supplies in the region.
