The General Directorate of Drug Enforcement organized an awareness lecture at Hassan Bin Thabet Secondary School for Boys about the dangers of drugs and their harm to the individual and society and ways to prevent them. First Lt. Abdullah Qassem, Awareness and Information Officer at the Studies and International Affairs Section of the Drug Enforcement, within the theme of (preventive education to educate school students about the harms of drugs) included in the student awareness project.
The awareness program aims to enhance students’ awareness of the effects of narcotic drugs and ways to prevent them with a scientific method and methodology that emulates the student’s thinking. The program includes many themes related to the drug problem, such as health, psychological, security, religious, and other aspects. It also includes showing awareness films that shed light on this scourge and its damages, as well as organizing mobile awareness exhibitions in which guiding publications about narcotic substances and their dangers to the individual, family and society are distributed.
