HE Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met with HE Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States Rabab Fatima, on the sidelines of the 77th UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the UN as well as several issues of common interest.
During the meeting, HE Assistant Foreign Minister stressed the importance of joint cooperation in women’s and education issues, referring to Qatar’s leading role in the fields of education and strengthening women’s role.
HE Under-Secretary-General expressed thanks and gratitude to the State of Qatar for its anticipated hosting of the second part of the 5th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries from 5-9 March 2022. Her Excellency also stressed the UN’s aspiration for the effective participation of the private sector in the development agenda.
