The Qatari volleyball team defeated its Thai counterpart by 3-1 on Wednesday in the team’s first match in Group E of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.
The Qatari team scored in the match’s sets (25-16, 22-25, 25-19 and 25-19).
This is the third win for the Qatari team against Thailand in the current 2023 season, having previously beaten the team in the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Challenger Cup and the 2023 Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship.
The Qatari volleyball team will play its second match in Group E against Hong Kong on Thursday.
The team’s head coach is Camilo Soto and includes the players Mubarak Dahi, Bilal Abunabot, Mohamed Walid, Rahimi, Osman Abdulwahid, Youssef Oughlaf, Renan Ribeiro, Milos Stevanovic, Nikola Vasic, Ibrahim Mohamed, Naji Mahmoud, Ahmed Gamal and Borislav. (QNA)
