The Public Works Authority (Ashghal(, has won the first prize for ‘Best Government and Public Service Sector’ in the Health and Safety Performance for the Year 2020, awarded by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). Ashghal explained that its team submitted more than 120 pieces of evidence to prove the level of occupational safety and health performance in the Authority’s premises and its projects.

Dr. Ali Mohamed Al Marri, Director of Quality and Safety Department at Ashghal, said that such achievements prove the extent to which Ashghal is committed to local and international laws and standards of occupational safety and health, and also in preserving workers’ rights.
