Amman: The forces of the Eastern Military Zone, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, foiled on Monday evening, within its jurisdiction, an attempt to infiltrate and carry large amounts of drugs flowing from Syria. An official military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) - Arab Army said that its forces injured a number of smugglers and forced them to retreat back into Syria, while the confiscated substances were then transferred to the designated authorities. The source emphasized that JAF is harnessing of its powers and capacities to strike with an iron fist at anyone who jeopardizes Jordan's national security Source: Jordan News Agency
