Doha: The Arab Parliament condemned the targeting of a commercial cargo ship in the territorial waters of the State of Qatar by a drone, emphasizing that such actions represent a violation of international law, threaten regional and international security and stability, and impact the global economy.

According to Qatar News Agency, Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi expressed full solidarity with the State of Qatar. He affirmed the Arab Parliament's support for all measures Qatar might take to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty. Al Yamahi emphasized that Qatar's national security is an integral part of Arab national security.

He further highlighted that any threat to the security of international navigation affects not only the countries of the region but also the stability of global supply and trade chains. This situation necessitates a strong international stance against such attacks.
