Doha: Ahead of the Al Rayyan vs Al Arabi match at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium Monday in week 22 of the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League, both teams' coaches affirmed readiness for the game during a press conference Sunday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno stated, "At this moment, we have put the past matches and recent tournaments behind us. The most important thing now is the league. We will be playing against a very good team with outstanding players who are having a fantastic season. I am sure it will be a tough match and we want to win for our fans." Moreno emphasized the importance of maintaining their current third place in the standings to secure a spot in the AFC Champions League Elite next season. He highlighted the significance of fan support, urging them to attend the match and help the team achieve their goals.
On the other hand, Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra expressed awareness of the challenge posed by Al Rayyan, noting their confidence and determination to finish the league on a high note. Contra acknowledged his team's technical stability and the commitment shown by his players throughout the season. He urged his team to give their maximum effort in the final 90 minutes of the league to secure a victory that would please the club's supporters.
Al Rayyan will enter Monday's match in 3rd place with 35 points, while Al Arabi holds 6th place with 32 points.
