Doha: Qatar opened their women's volleyball campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games with a 3-0 defeat by Vietnam on Wednesday. Vietnam clinched victory with set scores of 25-3, 25-8, and 25-9 in the Group D match.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar is set to face South Korea on Thursday before wrapping up its group-stage matches against Hong Kong on Friday. South Korea also started strong in their campaign, securing a 3-0 win over Hong Kong with scores of 25-23, 25-12, and 25-12.

The preliminary round includes 14 teams split into four groups, with the top two squads from each group moving on to the quarter-finals. Qatar is positioned in Group D alongside Vietnam, South Korea, and Hong Kong.
