Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister El Sayed el Quseir discussed with the leaderships of veterinary medicine ways to increase campaigns and convoys to combat diseases among the livestock nationwide and support small breeders.

In a statement Tuesday, Quseir said that the livestock represents a major source of income for breeders.

Quseir, meanwhile, said that his ministry will launch a national vaccination campaign on Thursday against the foot and mouth disease.

The move comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to attain the State’s goals for sustainable development and the protection of the country’s animal resources, he added.
