LOC’s Marketing and Communications Executive Director Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari said the 20 training venues will be linked with the competing teams’ residences as happened in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which offers comfort and easy access to training venues and stadiums that host matches.
He added that the LOC was liaising with the AFC to complete all logistical matters related to the teams, and is currently identifying the stadiums designated for the referees and the AFC team.
He added that the World Cup legacy offered many housing options which provides an exceptional fan experience, highlighting that holding the tournament in seven World Cup stadiums and the country’s various transportation networks and the Doha Metro would improve the fan experience, given the fact that the farthest distance between two stadiums is about 75 kilometers.
The promotional campaign included digital marketing, ticket sales process, and many events that coincide the tournament, especially the ongoing Expo Doha 2023, Al Kuwari added, highlighting the cooperation between partners and the Qatar Tourism that will best promote for the continental event.
The launch of the trophy promotional tour in coordination with the AFC will be announced soon, Al Kuwari said.
The registration mechanism and the date for media permits will be announced in coordination with the AFC in the coming period, with a huge number of Asian media outlets are expected to attend, he said, noting that several centers will be prepared to give the best service for all media professionals as happened in the World Cup.
The event will be staged in nine stadiums: seven World Cup stadiums – Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Education City Stadium, and Khalifa International Stadium – in addition to Jassim bin Hamad Stadium and Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
