Kuwait: Arab Educational Training Center for the Gulf States (AETCGS) participated in the 4th International Educational Conference that was held in the State of Kuwait under the theme: “Transforming Education: Opportunities and Challenges for Enhancing the Future of Education in the GCC States.” Director of AETCGS, Dr. Fatima Ghanem Al Maadeed, represented the center in the two-day conference in the presence of Their Excellencies, undersecretaries of the ministries of education in the Gulf states, education leaders in the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, as well as representatives of regional and international organizations such as the International Education Bureau of UNESCO.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event provided a platform for participants to engage in discussions around the latest trajectories and global policies for transforming education. The focus was on leveraging opportunities to strengthen the future of education in the GCC states, while also addressin
g the rapid challenges and devising practical, scientific solutions for a comprehensive educational transformation in the region.
The conference utilized the expertise of regional and international organizations and emphasized the importance of reinforcing cooperation towards joint Gulf educational efforts. Attendees were encouraged to benefit from the recommendations and outcomes of the conference to advance pedagogical action in the Gulf states.
The event featured a diverse array of organizations and think-tanks, including the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the Arab Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the UNESCO Regional Office for the GCC States and Yemen, the Regional Center for Educational Planning, the Queen Rania Teacher Academy, along with numerous university presidents and college deans from the Gulf states.
