Abu Samra Entry Procedures for World Cup Fans to Start Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 1, the entry procedures for the World Cup 2022 fans through Abu Samra Border will persist until December 23, as the public categories wishing to enter the State of Qatar will have to use the passport that was registered with Hayya platform.

According to the entry procedures that will be followed at the border, it has been divided into categories. The first category includes citizens, residents and Gulf nationals who hold QID cards, and their entry remains the same as is the case in normal conditions, provided that their vehicle has a Qatari plate, and it is not required to present Hayya card.

As for the second category, it includes fans with an exceptional entry permit who wish to enter the country with their own vehicles and their entry is required to have a vehicle entry permit approved through Hayya platform, as obtaining it requires having an approved accommodation reservation through Hayya platform for a minimum of 5 nights (for the driver only).

The third category includes the one-day fan, who is coming through Abu Samra Border to attend one or more matches within 24 hours only, where they can enter and exit without the need for a prior hotel reservation in the State of Qatar.
