Gaza city: At least four Palestinians were killed and around 40 reported missing after an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential home in the Sabra neighbourhood in southern Gaza City, according to medical sources.

According to Qatar News Agency, the strike was part of a wider escalation, bringing the death toll in Gaza to 29 since early Thursday.

Israeli warplanes also carried out attacks on homes in the Al Maqousi area in northwest Gaza, while artillery shelling was reported in several parts of the Tel Al-Hawa district in the southwest of the city.

Tensions remain high amid ongoing military operations across the Gaza Strip.
