Tonga: An earthquake measuring 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Tonga on Sunday. According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the quake occurred 155 km from Ohonua, at a depth of 35 km. There have been no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake so far. Tonga is an archipelago of 176 scattered islands, of which only 52 are inhabited in the South Pacific Ocean, located in northwest New Zealand and Australia.
