Tunis: The 39th meeting of the Arab Experts Group on Counterterrorism began Tuesday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two-day meeting is set to address multiple issues, including discussing measures taken to implement the recommendations of the 38th meeting, which was held on February 10-11 at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo.

The meeting aims to further strengthen cooperation with the United Nations and its bodies and committees involved in counterterrorism, as well as with international and regional organizations. Participants will examine the use of cutting-edge technologies, the Internet, and artificial intelligence in terrorist recruitment, alongside addressing challenges related to cyberattacks and cyber intrusions by terrorist organizations targeting state institutions.

Additionally, the meeting will review Arab countries' experiences, perspectives, and best practices in counterterrorism. It will also explore ways to develop and strengthen the work of the Arab Experts Group on Counterterrorism.
