2026 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Concludes at Paris Longchamp

Paris:The 2026 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe concluded this evening at the Paris Longchamp racecourse.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event was held under Qatari sponsorship and was a collaboration between the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) and France Galop, the governing body for horse racing in France. The final day of races was attended by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani crowned the winners of the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Group 1), alongside Chairman of the QREC Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah and President of France Galop Guillaume de Saint-Seine. Additionally, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani presented the trophies to the winners of the Group 1 Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere.

The QREC Chairman also crowned the winners of the Group 1 Qatar Prix de la Foret. With the conclusion of the day's races, the curtain fell on the 2026 edition of the festival, marking the culmination of an eighteen-year partnership between the QREC and France Galop. This sponsorship, which began in 2008, has significantly impacted the European racing scene, especially by enhancing the prominence of Purebred Arabian horses at major festivals, notably through the Qatar World Cup race, a key event leading to the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
