Moscow: Russian authorities announced on Sunday that two people were killed and six others injured, including two children, in a massive attack by Ukrainian forces.

According to Qatar News Agency, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said air defenses intercepted more than 1,600 drones. He noted 450 of these drones were aimed directly at the capital.

He added that several drones managed to reach the grounds of the Moscow Oil Refinery, while one struck a residential block.

In the context, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense units shot down 249 drones in just two hours targeting Moscow.

Since Feb. 24, 2022, Russia and Ukraine have been exchanging, almost daily, reports claiming that each side has advanced or repelled attacks from the other, without verifying this data from an independent source, given the ongoing battle conditions.
