Saudi Fund for Development Signs Agreement to Finance Education Project in Tajikistan

The Saudi Fund for Development has signed a $20 million development loan agreement with Tajik Ministry of Finance to finance an education project in Tajikistan.

SFD CEO Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad and Tajik Minister of Finance Fayziddin Qahhorda signed the agreement.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement will cover the fifth phase of the school construction and rehabilitation project implemented across various regions in Tajikistan through a $20 million development loan extended by the SFD.

The agreement covers the construction of 19 public schools across Tajikistan, benefiting 30,000 students. The newly signed agreement is part of a wider education support program that seeks to construct and equip a total of 76 schools across the Central Asian country.

Since 2022, the SFD has extended a total of 12 development loans valuing more than $193 million to implement 12 projects and development programs in Tajikistan.
