The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange rose 165.09 points, 1.68%, to reach the level of 10,017 points at the beginning of trading on Wednesday, compared to yesterday’s closing.
The positive performance of QSE general index was supported by a rise in all sectors except for Telecoms which remained unchanged. Banks and Financial Services topped the index by rising 2.76%, followed by Transportation by 1.62%; Consumer Goods and Services by 1.20%; Insurance by 0.90%; Industrials by 0.75%; and Real Estate by 0.51%.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 4,393 transactions worth QR 143.105 million, distributed to 43.895 million shares.
