QSE Index Rises 0.25% at Start of Trading

The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange rose 25.69 points, or 0.25%, to reach the level of 10,277 points at the beginning of trading on Sunday compared to Thursday’s closing, after it resumed trading following a temporary suspension due to technical issue.

The positive performance of QSE general index was supported by a rise in Banks and Financial Services by 0.35%; Real Estate by 0.13%; Industrials by 0.12%; Transportation by 0.05%; and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.03%. On the other hand, Insurance stood at 0.00%; and Telecoms declined by 0.07%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 205 transactions worth QR 6.461 million, distributed to 3.746 million shares. (QNA)
