QSE Index Drops 20.39 Points at Start of Trading

The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 20.39 points, or 0.20%, at the beginning of Sunday’s trading to reach the level of 10,042 points, compared to Thursday’s closing.

The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in Real Estate by 1.07%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.64%; Insurance by 0.38%; Industrials by 0.36%; and Bank and Financial Services by 0.12%. On the other hand, the index saw a rise in Telecoms by 0.24%; and Transportation by 0.03%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 1,937 transactions worth QR 53.274 million, distributed to 25.500 million shares.
