Qatar Stock Exchange index lost 50.82 points at the beginning of Monday’s trading, or 0.51%, to fall to the level of 9950 points compared to the end of Sundays trading.
Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the recorded decline in the general index to the negative performance of the communications sector by 2.22%, the real estate sector by 0.67%, the bank and financial services sector by 0.54%, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.44%, the industrial sector by 0.23% and the transport sector by 0.15%. On the other hand, the insurance sector had a positive performance of 1.37%.
At around 10:00 AM, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trades worth QR 50.221 millions, distributed among 20.610 million shares, with the implementation of 2,002 transactions.
