The State of Qatar chaired on Sunday the preparatory meeting of senior officials for the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Food Security and Agricultural Development (MCFSAD), which is being held under the theme “Towards Achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States.” It was discussed during the meeting the agenda and program of the MCFSAD, the implementation of previous conference decisions, the state of agriculture and food security in the member states of the OIC, as well as financing agriculture and food security projects.

The meeting also included presentations by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), in addition to the OIC’s institutions. (QNA)
