The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced Sunday that over 20,300 Palestinians have sought refuge in UNRWA-run schools across the Gaza Strip since Saturday.

UNRWA Media Advisor Adnan Abu Hasna stated that 44 UNRWA schools, including 28 equipped for housing, have received displaced families from various provinces in Gaza, with the exception of Khan Yunis.

He noted that the displaced population have primarily concentrated in northern Gaza, the eastern border, and southern Gaza, with expectations of an increase in their numbers in the coming hours.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a brief statement on Sunday that 313 have died as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip.
