Jordanian Industrial Companies Donate $16 Million to Gaza Relief Efforts

Gaza – Jordanian industrial companies have collectively donated approximately $16 million to the Jordan Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) to support relief efforts in Gaza. This contribution, comprising both cash and in-kind donations, comes in response to the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

According to Jordan News Agency, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, the donations are part of the “Wafaa Al-Dayn” or “Repay the debt” campaign aimed at aiding Gaza. He announced this during the unified general assembly of the Chambers of Industry, held at the Amman Chamber of Industry building. Jaghbir noted that the campaign and meetings would continue until the aggression against Gaza ends, reflecting the industrial sector’s support for the Kingdom’s leadership, government, and people.

The general assembly also discussed recommendations from business representatives. These recommendations focused on strengthening Jordan’s manufacturing system to prevent shortages of essential materials for the population and to increase the presence of domestic products in the regional market. Representatives expressed their willingness to contribute to the reconstruction of Gaza.

The participants also praised Jordan’s effective foreign policy and diplomatic efforts in delivering medical aid to Gaza and the West Bank. They highlighted the government’s stance against signing the water-energy exchange agreement with Israel. The “Wafaa Al-Dayn” campaign, managed by industry chamber representatives and members from the industrial sector’s general assembly, operates continuously and holds periodic meetings on various themes, as stated in an Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) release.
