Arab Club Basketball Championship Begins Sunday in Doha

The 35th edition of the Arab Club Basketball Championship will begin on Sunday. Hosted by Qatar SC, its matches will be held at Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan sports halls until Oct. 12 with the participation of 18 teams from 14 countries.

The organizing committee has completed all preparations for the launch of the event, which will witness the opening ceremony on Sunday at 6:30 p.m, followed by the Qatar SC match with the Palestinian club Al Burij in the first group.

The first day will witness five more matches where Al Qadsia of Kuwait is set to face Al Fateh from Saudi Arabia, Al Ahly of Egypt going head-to-head against Dijla SC of Iraq, followed by Al Ittihad of Algeria taking on Al Seeb of Oman and Tangier of Morocco against Beirut of Lebanon. Later in the day, Al Ahli of Qatar will clash with Dynamo of Lebanon.

18 teams are participating in the championship divided into four groups. The first group includes Qatar SC, Bahraini club Al Muharraq, Kuwait SC of Kuwait, and Palestinian Al Burij, while the se
cond group brings together Al Ahli of Qatar, Ittihad Alexandria SC, Al Seeb of Oman, Dynamo of Lebanon, and Al Ittihad of Algeria.

The third group included Kuwaiti Al Qadsia, Saudi Al Fateh, Moroccan Sale Association, and Yemeni Sanaa Club, while the fourth group included Al Ahly of Egypt, Beirut of Lebanon, Moroccan Tangier, and Dijla SC of Iraq
