The opening ceremony of the 35th edition of the Arab Club Basketball Championship for men was held on Sunday at the Al Gharafa Sports Hall, which is hosted by Qatar SC.

The tournament matches will be held at the Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan Halls until Oct. 12 with the participation of 18 teams representing 14 countries.

The opening ceremony was simple and was well received by everyone as it included musical acts that ended with the playing of the national anthem of the State of Qatar, as well as an introductory video about the history of the Arab Club Basketball Championship and its journey until the 35th edition in Doha.

Head of the basketball team at Qatar SC and director of the tournament Mohammed Al Shuraim welcomed all the Arab brothers and clubs participating in the tournament, wishing everyone success in this Arab sports forum in basketball, which is being held for the first time in Qatar with the participation of 18 clubs.

The tournament witnessed six matches in the four groups, the most prominen
t of which was the victory of the host, Qatar SC, over its counterpart Al Burayj Palestine (87-70) at Al Gharafa Hall in the matches of the first round of the first group.
