The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Jassim Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Bahar Charity in Kuwait signed a cooperation agreement under which the Kuwait-based organization is scheduled to provide the necessary support to cover costs of treating underprivileged cancer patients, including refugees at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). According to a statement on Sunday, the KHCF’s Director General, Nisreen Qatamesh, valued this humanitarian support, which is an extension of the foundation’s “strategic” partnerships with Kuwaiti “loyal” supporters, thanking the Kuwaiti charity for its continuous assistance to cancer patients to receive the “best” comprehensive treatment in a “key” cancer treatment center in the region. Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti charity’s Director General, Ahmed Shiha, said renewal of the agreement with KHCF is based on its humanitarian role and reflects appreciation of the joint partnership with the Jordanian side. Shiha also noted the agreement aims to assist Jordanian poor beneficiaries and refugees hosted by the Kingdom, adding that Jordan has provided a “safe” haven for refugees from neighboring countries until their number out of the population reached more than 30%.
