Conference of Partnership Development for Climate Adaptation in Arab States Concludes in Cairo

The conference of Partnership Development for Climate Adaptation in Arab States (PDCA) concluded its activities on Wednesday with the participation of a host of ministers and heads of international institutions, as well as regional and Arab organizations.

The two-day conference addressed paths of accelerating the pace of participatory efforts in the field of adaptation to climate, sharing expertise, contributing to establishing projects of adaptation to climate in the Arab region and supporting abilities of decision makers in MENA to direct investments towards policies and programs of adaptation to climate changes.

The conference sessions included an array of themes on the role of infrastructure, eco-systems, and traditional water resources in strengthening sustainable management of water.

The sessions discussed impact of climate change on global food security, as well as engagement of stakeholders and civil society in upgrading and executing just, equitable and inclusive strategies in water management
and food production to achieve social justice.

In addition, the conference highlighted the challenges and opportunities of combining adaptation to climate and green skills in education and training systems to further give impetus to innovation and entrepreneurship in green economy.
