Arab Countries Praise Qatar-UAE Diplomatic Representation Resumption

A number of Arab countries welcomed the decision to resume diplomatic representation between the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Jordan welcomed the resumption of bilateral diplomatic representation, in implementation of the Al Ula agreement.

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Sinan Majali stressed the importance of this agreement in strengthening cooperation among Arab countries and activates joint Arab action in a way that serves common Arab interests.

For its part, the Libyan National Unity Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation welcomed the move, expressing Libya’s appreciation for the commitment of the two Gulf sisterly countries in implementing the Al Ula agreement, which the ministry said is consistent with Qatar-UAE historical relations.

The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that this represents support for revitalizing joint Arab action in a way that enhances security and stability in the region.

In turn, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the announcement of the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to restore diplomatic representation between them.

In a statement, the ministry praised this step, which it described as positive and being on the path of strengthening joint Arab action and consolidating Arab unity.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Egypt’s support for all efforts aimed at strengthening Arab relations at various levels and protecting the interests of the Arab peoples.
