The security forces in Maysan arrested 5 people accused of various crimes and seized weapons and equipment in the districts of Al-Majar Al-Kabir and Qal’at Saleh, south of Maysan.

The Maysan Operations Command said in a statement, a copy of which the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received “A force from the Second Regiment, 97th Infantry Brigade of the Maysan Operations Command, in cooperation with the Al-Zahraa Police Station, arrested the accused, whose crimes varied between terrorism, premeditated murder, and possession of narcotic drugs.”

It added: “The force seized a group of unlicensed weapons and equipment, noting that the accused and the seized items were handed over to the competent authorities.”/ End
