An earthquake measuring 5.4 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Thursday Maluku province in eastern Indonesia.
According to a statement from the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG), the epicenter of the earthquake was 105 km from the Boludoi area of the province, at a depth of 199 km.
There have been no reports of material or human losses due to the earthquake so far.
Last Monday, a 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit Sanana Island, one of the Sula Islands in Indonesia, at a depth of 10 km.
Earthquakes regularly strike different parts of Indonesia due to its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire.
