An earthquake measuring 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale rocked the Sula Islands in Indonesia.
A statement from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency in Indonesia stated on Sunday that the epicenter of the tremor occurred 79 km from Sanana Island, one of the Sula Islands, at a depth of 4 km.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage.
On Monday, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit Aceh province at a depth of 27 kilometers.
Indonesia is regularly exposed to earthquakes due to its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire where many tectonic plates meet and cause frequent volcanic and seismic activity.
