Qatar’s Judo player, Ayoub Elidrissi suffered a defeat at the hands of Belorussia’s Dzmitry Minkou in the Men’s 66 KG event.

Al Elidrissi participation in the Olympics is really a positive turning point in his career which will help him improve his international experience.

On the other hand, Team Qatar sprinter Bashayer Al-Manwari said “I’m really determined to break my personal record. I’m very proud to be part of these Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games as I have been dreaming to participate in Olympics since long years ago, now my dream turned into reality and I’m the only Qatari female athlete to participate in the athletics competitions.”

“Yes, it is a beautiful and challenging task but I’m ready to take the responsibility and raise the scale of challenge against top competitors. I have been fond of triple jump since my early years as a young girl, I did run of fantastic achievements in the triple jump over the past years, but in these games, I represent my country in 100m event. So, shifting from sport discipline to another had no any negative effect on me, right now I’m looking to fight tooth and nail to break my personal record.” She added.
