WORLD HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: QATAR TAKE ON ARGENTINA TODAY IN ALL-IMPORTANT CLASH

PARIS, France, Qatar’s national handball team, will take on Argentina today (Tuesday) in their third game in Group D, of the 25th World Men’s Handball Championship (France 2017).

The Maroon enter the game on the back of a comfortable win over Bahrain, to claim their first points of the tournament, and sit third in the group, on two points, after losing the opening game to Egypt.

On the other hand, Argentina go into the tie on zero points, having lost both games that they played, so far, 32-22 to Denmark and 35-17 to Sweden.

The Maroon will aim to get full points against the South American team, in order to edge a step closer to qualification, ahead of the two strong clashes against Sweden on Wednesday and Denmark on Friday, at the end of the group stage.

As he usually does, coach Valero Rivera, will give the chance to all the 16 players at his disposal, especially as they are all at similar levels, which allows him the chance to rotate freely.

The team concluded their preparations and will feel confident going into the match, after the comprehensive and morale-raising 32-22 defeat of Bahrain. However, The Maroon players know that the Argentina game is a must-win, if the world runners-up are to qualify for the next stage.
