Ways to bolster Bahraini-Pakistani business cooperation discussed

Manama, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Nass, has asserted keenness on exploring new areas of cooperation to further stimulate trade and investments and enhance mutual economic gains between Bahrain and Pakistan.

 

While receiving here today the Ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain, Muhammad Ayub. Nass expressed pride in the deep-rooted ties bonding both friendly countries and people, hailing the long-standing diplomatic, economic, and social cooperation.

 

Nass touched upon the existing business relations between Bahrain and Pakistan, citing the trade volume which amounted to 120.3 million U.S dollars in 2020. He expressed confidence in the potentials of business cooperation, and called to encourage investments in tourism and food security projects.

 

Ambassador Muhammad Ayub reiterated pride in the Bahraini-Pakistani relations, which are based on shared values and mutual trust, voicing the keenness of his country on stepping up trade and investments with Bahrain. He touched upon development projects in his country and called on local business owners and investors to explore and exploit promising opportunities in the construction, tourism, and food processing and packaging sectors.

 

Board member Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, and Deputy Chief Executive officer Dr. Abdulla Al Sada also attended the meeting.
