Vice President of Laos receives H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.

Phankham Viphavanh, Vice President of Laos, today received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation as well as exchanging experiences and working to achieve the mutual interests of both countries.

Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of the UAE government to Mr. Viphavanh and his wishes for further development and success to the people of Laos. He also emphasised the UAE’s keenness to enhance joint cooperation with Laos in various fields with the support of both countries leaderships.

Laotian Vice President conveyed his greetings to the UAE government and its friendly people, and welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah, saying that it reflects the keenness of both countries to boost bilateral relations in various fields.

He also underscored that the visit, which is the first visit of a UAE delegation to Laos, confirms the country’s commitment to expand its relations with the Southeast Asian country.

The meeting was attended by Khalid Ibrahim AlQahtani, Non-Resident Ambassador to Laos.
