UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss expressed thanks to the State of Qatar for its efforts in facilitating the evacuation of British nationals from Kabul, Afghanistan.

“Thank you ‘HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani’ and our Qatari friends for arranging a third flight carrying more nationals from Kabul,” UK Foreign Secretary said on Twitter.

“We will: continue to help British Nationals leave Afghanistan; bring more people safely back home; and work with partner countries to keep key routes open,” Secretary Truss added.
