UDST Receives International Award

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has received the Healthy Campus Platinum Label from the International University Sports Federation (FISU), during a ceremony held at the “Université Libre de Bruxelles” in  Brussels, Belgium, in the presence of  HE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), and President of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation, Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al Naemi UDST President, and Anthony Martin Manager of Sports and Wellness Division at the University.

 

The Platinum label is considered the highest level of certification in the FISU Healthy Campus program. It is based on 100 criteria for classification, so that the participant works to meet at least 91 of these criteria in order to obtain the Platinum label, noting that international experts worked on developing these criteria to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.

 

On this occasion, HE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi said: “The Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation supports national universities and encourages them to further strengthen the global positioning of Qatar, not only as a destination for quality education but also as a country that embodies advanced educational facilities and services that take into consideration the physical and mental well-being of the students”.
