UAE wins Gold Medals in New Zealand National Stamp Show

WAM ABU DHABI, 8th October, 2013 (WAM) — The Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) has scooped a gold medal and a number of laurels for their entries during its participation in the Upper Hutt 2013, New Zealand National Stamp Show.
In addition to UAE, exhibitors from Australia and New Zealand participated in the show, which was held in Wellington, New Zealand.
EPA Young member Eisa Bin Ahmad Al Serkal won Gold Medal for his exhibit, “Dubai: Errors ‘&’ Varieties”. Abdulla Khoory won Large Vermeil medal for his exhibit, “The Stations Postal Markings of Egypt”.
Nasser Bin Ahmad Al Serkal won Large Vermeil medal for his exhibit,” Sharjah Postal History” and Mr. Ahmad Saif Al Hasawi won Bronze Medal for his exhibit “Islam”.
Omar Mohd Ahmad Al Muallemi was a national commissioner and Jury from the United Arab Emirates.
These achievements have enhanced the UAE’s prestige in the world of philately. It is a great honour for the country to achieve these successes, according to EPA statement.
