UAE, Qatar discuss overall regional, int'l developments

ABU DHABI, March 17 (KUNA) — The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan met with the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in the Emirati capital Thursday, official media reported.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the overall developments and latest updates on Arab, regional, and international issues, in addition to the bilateral relations between UAE and Qatar and ways to enhance them for the interests of the two countries and people, an official statement said, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).
They also reiterated their countries’ keenness on cooperating with GCC countries to support the joint GCC action and achieve further welfare, progress, and prosperity for the Gulf people, the statement said, adding that the Emirati and Qatari sides also agreed to counter ongoing challenges facing the region.
