UAE, Laos sign MoU for political deliberations.

The United Arab Emirates, UAE, and Laos have signed a memorandum of understanding, MoU, for political consultations.

The MoU WAS Inked by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, as part of the Sheikh Abdullah’s official visit to the Southeast Asian country.

The two ministers discussed ways of enhancing bilateral ties and took stock of the latest developments in the region as well as the current regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the two countries maintain distinguished bilateral ties and are keen to advance them in political, economic, food security and energy.

Minister Kommasith affirmed his country’s government desire to expand cooperation with the UAE.

UAE Non-Resident Ambassador to Laos Khalid Al Qahtani, attended the meeting.
