WAM ABU DHABI, 26th November, 2013 (WAM) — Surveys and studies conducted on seminal issues concerning national growth and development are always a great source of information, commented a local daily.

A new study in the field of education in the UAE has led to an extremely happy conclusion, as 72 per cent of the respondents of the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC)-aided survey have said they prefer the UAE as the choice of workplace after graduation.

The “Gulf News” in its editorial has said, this finding should be welcomed for many reasons: It is an indicator of the maturity and appeal of the UAE as a job market; it provides clear proof that the various mechanisms required to make job opportunities attractive are on the increase in the UAE; and most significantly, the survey shows that the mindset of youth in the UAE is all about looking for integration within rather than seeking opportunities outside, a game changer for a country’s socio-economic growth.

However, the paper said that this is only one side of the coin. The study also earmarks the key drivers of industry that its stakeholders need to put in place to engage the youth in a more synergetic way, achieving a seamless integration of skill and employability that is the bedrock of development.
