Turkish Foreign Ministry condemn Orlando shooting

ISTANBUL, June 13 (KUNA) — The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned Monday the attack which claimed the lives of 50 people at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday morning.
“We strongly condemned the attack in Orlando which claimed many lives and injured several people” said Turkish Foreign Ministry in a statement.
The attacker was identified as Omar Mateen, an Afghan-American born in New York and who worked as a security guard.
According to some western news reports, the so-called Islamic State (IS) claimed that Mateen carried out the attack in its name. (end) ta.mar
