Turkish army arrests 22 IS suspects

ISTANBUL, March 3 (KUNA) — Turkish authorities arrested in the past two days 22 suspects of the so-called Islamic State (IS) south of the country, Turkish Army Command said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement added that their terror units executed three security operations against IS militants in Kahrman March, which resulted in the arrest of 22 suspects, among them 16 foreigners, during attempts to reach the Syrian borders.
The statement noted that a court ordered the arrest of the suspects and charged them with enlisting in the terrorist organization. (end) ta.mb
