Turkey FM, Russian Counterpart Discuss Developments in Syria

Ankara, – Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu today held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, during which they discussed bilateral relations in addition to the latest developments in Syria.

Turkish news agency (Anadolu) quoted diplomatic source as saying that Cavusoglu had briefed Lavrov on the progress of the Euphrates Shield operation to clear Syrian town of Jarabulus of the ISIS militant group.

The source said that the two ministers exchanged opinions means to deliver humanitarian aid to besieged areas in Syria. They also agreed to hold a bilateral meeting in the news future, the source added.
