Trump fires campaign manager

WASHINGTON, June 20 (KUNA) — The US Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump fired his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski on Monday.
Political observers said the departure of Lewandowski is an acknowledgment from Trump that an overhaul is necessary ahead of the general elections.
Asked in a CNN interview why he was fired, Lewandowski said: “I don’t know. I don’t know the answer to that.” Some Trump advisers said they hope the action will allow the campaign to more quickly build out a communications team and rapid response effort, as well as ramp up their organization in battleground states heading into the fall general election campaign against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
