Local film festival in coastal town marks ninth yearA selection of recent Turkish films will be shown in KyceIiz, a coastal town near Dalyan, in MuIla province, as part of the townandrsquos annual Kaunos AltIn Aslan (Golden Lion) Turkish Film Festival.The festival, organized by the local Kulturler ArasI IIbirliIi ve Diyalog DerneIi (Foundation for Intercultural Cooperation and Dialogue) with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the local municipality, will mark its ninth year from Aug.

30-Sept. 2Films to be shown at the festival include the recent popular comedies andldquoDuIun Dernekandrdquo (The Wedding) and andldquoMandIra Filozofuandrdquo (The Dairy Philosopher), the political satire andldquoSurgun Inekandrdquo (The Exiled Cow), the drama andldquou Yolandrdquo (Crossroads), which is currently vying for the top prize at the eighth Asia Pacific Screen Awards, and the World War I drama andldquoEve DnuI: SarIkamII 1915andrdquo (The Long Way Home), according to the Turkish movie website Sadibey.
