Celebration of Polish art continues in Turkey until 2015Polish art and music will continue being featured in major Turkish cities at a series of events, including upcoming exhibitions at the SALT Ulus art space and Pera Museum as well as the Istanbul Design Biennial, until the end of 2014, which marks the 600th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Poland.Nearly 50 events organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute will be held in Istanbul, Ankara, EskiIehir, Mardin and KonyaAnkaraandrsquos SALT Ulus will be home to a group exhibition titled andldquoInto the Countryandrdquo from Sept.

11 to Nov. 2 The exhibitions in Istanbul include andldquoShock Therapy: Photographs of the Polish Transformation after 1989andrdquo at the Milli Reasurans Art Gallery Sep.

15 to 29, andldquoOxymoron of Normalityandrdquo at the DEPO art space from Oct. 17 to Nov.

30 and andldquoOrientalism in Polish Painting, Drawing and Graphic Artsandrdquo at the Pera Museum from Oct. 23 to next January.

The Pera Museum will also host a series of music performances including andldquoYoung Wednesday Concertsandrdquo by Polish musicians on Wednesdays beginning from next month. Drekoty will kick off the concert program on Sep.

17, and will be followed by acoustic jazz duo Mikrokolektyw on Sep. 24.

Polish musicians from pianist Marcin Masecki to the Maciej Obara International Quartet will take to the stage at the 24th edition of Akbank Jazz Festival, which will run from Oct. 23 to Nov.

2The Istanbul Design Biennial, which will be held for the second time from Nov. 1 to Dec.

15, will feature Polish designers in an exhibition. Istanbul Todayandrsquos Zama.
